Sam D. Patel, CPA, Esq.

Mr. Patel obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Mr. Patel donated his time while at Loyola Law School to the VITA program, which helps low income families properly complete and file their personal income tax returns. Mr. Patel obtained his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from California State University at Fullerton.

Mr. Patel's focus in the firm is representing clients in high networth property division issues. Mr. Patel has a passion for litigating business appraisal issues, tracing, and separate property reimbursements. Mr. Patel also handles issues dealing with community property apportionment issues in real estate including Moore/Marsden analysis and Marriage of Branco analysis dealing with separate properties with mortgages paid down during marriage or separate properties that are refinanced during the marriage. Mr. Patel also represents IT and Tech professionals in divorce cases including division of stock based compensation. Mr. Patel has superior knowledge of complex financial issues in marital dissolution cases as well as corporate and business taxation.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Kenneth U. Reyes, Mr. Patel was a corporate tax executive with various firms including Arthur Andersen, Southern California Edison, and Orora Packaging Solutions. Mr. Patel's experience includes overseeing the corporate tax function of the North American multi-billion dollar business component of a publicly traded corporation. Mr. Patel is one of the few attorneys in California that is also a licensed Certified Public Account (CPA) in the State of California.

Mr. Patel is admitted to practice in the California Supreme Court and the United States District Court Central District of California.

Mr. Patel speaks English and the Indian dialect of Gujarati.
